Develop your touch, and comfort playing with others in this beginner focused handpan immersion. Suitable for first-touch players, the purpose of this afternoon is to connect with others, celebrate each others’ musical expressions, and gain confidence in handpan playing.

Through a series of mini-games and exercises - utilizing body, voice, and of course handpan - we will work together to play together. In this session we explore stillness, interlocking rhythms, creativity, and structured jams. We will open our voices to encourage full musical embodiment, and get familiar with our own expressions through the handpan.

Enter through the wooden doors (left entrance facing W. Liberty St). Take the elevator or stairs to the second floor, suite 273, 313 W. Liberty St. Lancaster, PA.

On the day of class, please arrive allowing enough time to be settled in and ready to learn by 11am. You may bring whatever food and beverage you need. There is a small fridge, microwave and coffee/tea/hot water machine in the room. There is a canteen with vending machines in the basement. We will have a 1/2 hour break. Temperatures are not controlled by us in the room so please dress accordingly. Please refrain from wearing perfume or heavy scents. There is plenty of free parking in the large lot across from the Liberty Place building front entrance on West Liberty Street.
